MILLER BEST BET FOR HOUSE SEAT #108

S.C. House District 108 incumbent Vida Miller, a Democrat, is the choice of The Times’ editorial board in the general election.We believe Mrs. Miller’s 10 years’ experience as a legislator will serve residents well. She has helped bring to Georgetown County over the years, funding for the widening of the county’s major evacuation route, U.S. Highway 521; a multi-generational facility in the Parkersville community; and a one-stop health clinic in Choppee, which, while not in her district, communicates her desire to work for all of the county since she was first elected to the S.C. House in 1996.She is also a strong advocate for education and has been honored several times by key educational organizations and she introduced the original bill to reform property taxes and pledges to continue to address the needs of property tax reform.
